SWEEP Swimming Academy · Cairo
Every length
counts.
SWEEP is a racing squad in Cairo, for swimmers who want to get faster. We spend our time on technique, because that's where the speed comes from, and our swimmers race most weeks of the year. Your first session is free.

The academy
Fall back in love with the water.
SWEEP is for people who want to get seriously fast without the noise. We coach from evidence. We keep the deck quiet, we write every set for a reason, and nobody swims junk metres to fill a clock.
We film your races and log your splits and stroke rate, so a correction is something you can see rather than something you are told.
We fix the stroke before we add the metres, and we keep fixing it all season.
You race most weeks of the year. Training is built backwards from those races.
Nobody shouts here. The work is hard, and a swimmer is allowed to try something new and get it wrong.
Programs
One academy. Twelve and up.

Juniors

Red. Blue. One academy.
Red and Blue are the competitive heart of the academy. They train the full week — five evenings and a Friday afternoon — and spend the season trying to out-point each other for the squad title. Juniors and masters train in the same water, and the strongest of them earn a lane here. It keeps training honest, and it's half the fun of being here.
SWEEP Red
Most of these swimmers race short and fast.
SWEEP Blue
Pacing, and holding the stroke together when it hurts.

Mind
Open to trying something new, and to getting it wrong on the way.

We study your racing history and watch you swim. Best events, honest starting point.

Correct
Technique first. We fix the stroke before we add the metres.
- 04
Measure
Splits, stroke rate, video, recovery. Every correction has something behind it.

Race
Most weeks of the year, filmed — including events you have never tried.

Review
You watch it back with a coach, and the next block is written from what you both saw.
The deck team
Six coaches. One standard.
Every coach here swam competitively, and some of us raced for Egypt. Most nights, all six of us are on deck.
Your first length is free.
Come swim one full session with the group that fits your age. We coach you through the whole session, then tell you where you would fit.
